Possability Group Ltd (PGL) welcomes Tuesday’s New South Wales (NSW) State Budget and its injection of funding into Out of Home Care (OOHC).
With operations in New South Wales, South Australia, Queensland and Western Australia PGL is dedicated to helping vulnerable children develop to their full potential and live a satisfying life.
The record $1.2 billion investment will make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable children in NSW and complements the services PGL, under its subsidiary Lifestyle Solutions and other providers currently provide to children in metropolitan and regional NSW.
In NSW, Lifestyle Solutions offers a range of foster care, family group homes and residential services for children and young people who are unable to live with their families.
PGL Chief Executive Officer, Dr Ros Blakley, said “The boost in funding for the industry will lift OOHC service standards to new heights, to help ensure every child’s needs are assessed and understood.
“We applaud the NSW Government for recognising and acting on the essential service of OOHC”
“PGL works closely with children, families, schools and specialists to tailor support to the individual needs of each child. With the new government support, even more children’s needs can be met.”
“Any additional government support towards caring for our children’s needs can change the trajectory of their lives. We are excited to work towards the same goal of providing a nurturing and secure environment,” said Dr Blakley.
PGL looks forward to working with the New South Wales Government to provide the best quality care to people with disabilities and children in care.
