This year the theme for National Reconciliation Week 2021 was announced as 'More than a word'. Reconciliation takes action, urges the reconciliation movement towards braver and more impactful action.
As individuals, and as an organisation, National Reconciliation Week has been a time to further our learnings about shared histories, cultures and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
This year, we invited team members and members of our Executive to share their thoughts on what reconciliation means to them and what actions they can take towards reconciliation.
Please click on the video below to hear what they have to say.
Reconciliation must continue to live in the hearts, minds and actions of all Australians as we move forward, creating a nation strengthened by respectful relationships between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Reconciliation Australia has provided 20 actions for reconciliation in 2021 for all Australians to consider in the reconciliation movement towards a more just, equitable and reconciled country.
