Meet a person we support, Lara, and Wallsend Community Hub Facilitator, Toni. Lara has been coming to our Wallsend Hub day program for more than three years.

Some of Lara's favourite Hub activities include visiting the local library in Wallsend and going shopping.

She loves her friends and values the friendships she's made at the Hub, often buying them small gifts or lollies when she goes out to the shops.

"Lara often gives me signs pointing at her eye and then heart and then points to me, meaning I love you," said Hub Facilitator, Toni. 

"Lara is a very quiet person, but loves going to the Hub for the social aspect, connections and friends she's made there over the past three years," said Toni. Lara's mum has also noted the main reason she enjoys going to the Hub is because of her friends!
