Respite Support

Our respite support allows people living with disability to experience time away from home in a safe, engaging and supported environment, so you can take a well-deserved break – whether it's a week-long annual holiday, a weekend away each month or just a few hours each week.

Centre-based respite – Allawah House

Based in Logan on the traditional lands of the Yugambeh people, Allawah House has a welcoming, home-like atmosphere, with Allawah being the Aboriginal word for 'come stay here and rest'. Here you can spend anywhere from two nights, to two weeks. We offer a range of recreational and leisure activities including BBQs, arts and crafts, movie nights, gardening activities and cooking.

Flexi Respite

Through flexi respite, our Community Support Workers provide short-term, flexible respite in your own home. Lifestyle Solutions staff can also help you connect with your local community and take part in social activities outside the home.

How do I access respite support?

Our respite support is available to people living with disability, between 18 and 65 years of age in South-East Queensland.

You can obtain a referral by contacting the Queensland Government's Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services. Visit the Department's website.

You can also phone Disability Services (Queensland) on 13 QGOV (13 74 68) or 133 677 for TTY users.

Alternatively, you can access Lifestyle Solutions respite support through your self-managed funding (fee for service).
