Attendant Care

The NSW Government's Lifetime Care and Support Scheme provides treatment, rehabilitation and attendant care services to people severely injured in motor accidents in NSW, regardless of who was at fault.

Lifestyle Solutions is an approved provider of Attendant Care under the Scheme. Through our Attendant Care we provide the supports you need to help you perform tasks that you can no longer do as a result of your motor accident injury.

This may include:

  • Personal care such as showering or dressing;
  • Domestic tasks such a meal preparation, cleaning and gardening;
  • Support to attend your injury-related treatment and rehabilitation services; and
  • Support to participate in leisure activities that form part of your Community Living Plan.

Am I eligible?

If you have been severely injured in a motor accident in NSW from 1 October 2006 onwards, you may be eligible for the scheme. 'Severely injured' can include:

  • Traumatic brain injury
  • Spinal cord injury
  • Amputations
  • Burns
  • Permanent blindness

How do I access Attendant Care under the Lifetime Care and Support Scheme?

Firstly, if you have suffered severe injuries due to a motor accident, you'll need to advise the Lifetime Care and Support Authority as soon as possible.

The Authority will request you complete a Severe Injury Advice Form, assess your eligibility for support and determine the reasonable and necessary treatment, rehabilitation and care you require.

You can contact the Lifetime Care and Support Authority on 1300 738 586, via email or visit the website.
