Clinical Services Positions                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Various Positions available throughout Sydney

We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated and skilled clinicians to join our newly formed Specialist Support Services Team. The team provides specialised clinical services to children, youth, adult and families across NSW. This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative and creative team.

Various positions are available within our Out of Home Care, Disability and Community Justice Programs.

Clinical/Forensic Psychologist (Ref: CFP.Feb12.Clincal Service Team)                                                                                                                                                Experienced clinical /forensic psychologist required to work within our Community Justice Program. This position will provide clinical leadership in the development and implementation of treatment programs and clinical services. Essential criteria: Masters Qualifications in psychology, experience in supervising clinicians and skills to manage the internship program.

Clinician-Forensic (Ref: CM.Feb12.Clincal Service Team)                                                                                                                                                                    Experienced clinician required to work within our Community Justice Program. This position is responsible for providing and monitoring high quality clinical services and requires skills in Systemic Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. Essential criteria: Post graduate qualifications in Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, Social Sciences, Behavioural Sciences or relevant areas.

Senior Clinician OOHC (Ref: SCOOHC.Feb12.Clincal Service Team)                                                                                                                                                 Experienced Senior Clinician required to provide and monitor high quality clinical services within out of home care and disability. You will also be responsible for the clinical supervision and mentoring of clinical staff within the team. Essential criteria: Post graduate qualifications in Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, Social Sciences, Behavioural Sciences or relevant areas. Experience working with children and young people with intellectual disability and knowledge and understanding of trauma based treatment approaches.

Clinician- OOHC (Ref: COOHC.Feb12.Clincal Service Team)                                                                                                                                                                Experienced clinician required to provide high quality clinical services to clients in Out of Home Care. Essential criteria: Post graduate qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Social Sciences, Behavioural Sciences or relevant areas. Experience working with children and young people with intellectual disability in out of home care is desirable.

Clinician- Disability (Ref: CD.Feb12.Clincal Service Team)                                                                                                                                                                     Experienced clinician to provide specialist clinical behaviour support in relation to people we support with an intellectual disability, severe challenging behaviours and complex needs. Essential criteria: Post graduate qualifications in Psychology, Social work, Behavioural Sciences or relevant areas. Experience working with people with an intellectual disability.

Lifestyle Solutions is a Child and Family Service provider that seeks to support and work alongside people in creating lifestyle opportunities that provide dignity and community.   We are seeking to employ energetic, resourceful and committed people to provide support to children, young people and/or adults with high complex needs living in our Sydney Out of Home Care Services.

You will have experience working with people have challenging behaviours and high needs.  You will be responsible for providing care to children, young people and/or adults, in a personalised environment, as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Selection Criteria

  • Relevant experience in working with people with disabilities or a related areas (mental health and youth services)
  • Proven experience that demonstrates initiative, enthusiasm, flexibility, and positive commitment to the duties and responsibilities of a Community Support Worker
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and relate well to people in care and their families
  • Willingness to work shift work on a 7 day roster including weekends, sleepover shifts and public holidays as required
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with and have knowledge of community resources and other services relative to the care of people with disability living in the community
  • Competent oral and written communication skills, and competent administrative and documentation skills
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain on.

SUPPORT WORKER
(Casual position - Annandale)

Be paid to make a difference

Outgoing and enthusiastic person required

This position will involve working in part of a small team to support a young woman.  The successful applicant will provide support (including some personal care) and companionship to this young woman as she goes about her daily life.  You will walk alongside her in the community/university and engage with her in her chosen social activities including going to the movies, shopping, eating out, attending theatre, music events and much more!

The person we are seeking must have an enthusiastic and positive approach, be patient, resourceful, creative and genuinely interested in young people with disabilities and social inclusion. Workers will be given direction and guidance from the team, on the job training will be provided.

Flexibility is preferred; occasional evening work may be required. A current driver’s license is essential and current First Aid Certificate would be an advantage. Salary is paid in accordance with NSW SACS Award.

SUPPORT WORKER OPPORTUNITY                                                                                                                         

Bathurst & Orange area

Are you an enthusiastic, reliable and resourceful person interested in working with community members with disabilities in the Bathurst & Orange area?

Positions exist for Support Workers.  You must have mid-level experience in dealing with people with challenging behaviours. Some of the people we support require high levels of care; you will work together in exploring and accomplishing their personal goals.

If you are someone who believes in supporting people in a way that is individual, flexible and person focussed, we would like to hear from you.

The position is casual paid under the NSW SACS award. Hours will be rostered between 9 and 3 weekdays but some flexibility would be desired.

Male and female applicants are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have a current first aid certificate (or willing to obtain), access to a car and hold a current driver’s licence.

SUPPORT WORKERS                                                                                                                                                  
Casual position - Newcastle

A family whose daughter is involved in the Community Participation Program – self managed option, are seeking to employ a Support Worker to assist their 19-year old daughter who has high support needs.

The successful applicant will provide support for the young person to participate, connect, contribute and be recognised as a member of the wider community. Activities may include hydrotherapy, music events, and outings, alternatively due to the young person’s health needs the support will be provided in the home.

This position will also involve assisting the young person with many different aspects of daily living, including some personal care. Applicants should be prepared to have some set hours but maybe called upon to work weekends or after hours at varying times and on an as needed basis.

The person we are seeking must have an enthusiastic and positive approach, be patient, resourceful, creative and genuinely interested in young people with disabilities and social inclusion. Workers will be given direction and guidance from the young person’s family and on the job training will be provided.

A current driver’s license is essential and experience in working with people with high support needs and a First Aid Certificate would be an advantage.  Salary is paid in accordance with NSW SACS Award Grade 2.
